Teaching practice Phase 2 - week 4 (05/01/26 to 08/01/26)

✨Day 16 (05/01/26)✨

Today marked the beginning of Phase 2, Section 2, and it got off to a calm start. I had a single period in 8th class, which was shortened by 10 minutes due to answer paper distribution. Despite the ief time, I managed to cover a lesson plan, which was a great start to the new phase. The highlight of the day was my lunch duty, where I got to interact with the students and unwind. It was nice to have a low-key day amidst the usual chaos of school life. Overall, it was a good start to Phase 2, and I'm looking forward to what's coming next.

✨Day 17 (06/01/26)✨

Today's was  a packed schedule ahead, but I'm ready for it. I'm planning to cover some exciting topics. I've got two periods back-to-back, which means I can complete two lesson plans, and that's exactly what I did. The students were engaged and participated actively in class, which made the sessions really enjoyable.

✨Day 18 (07/01/26)✨

Today was a productive day - I had two periods back-to-back, which allowed me to complete two lesson plans. I started a new chapter on parallelograms with the 8th class, and it seems like they're really getting into it. One of my lesson plans was based on the Concept Attainment Model (CAM), where I presented students with examples and non-examples of parallelograms to help them discover the concept on their own. This approach encouraged critical thinking and collaboration, and the students were engaged throughout the lesson.
The CAM approach really helped me facilitate a deeper understanding of the concept, and the students responded well to the activity. Overall, it was a great way to kick-start the new chapter, and I'm looking forward to exploring more topics with the class.
All in all, it was a fulfilling day - got to try out a new teaching approach, engage with students, and make some progress on the syllabus. Ready to take on the rest of the week!

✨Day 19 (08/01/26)✨

Today, I had two consecutive periods with Class VIII students, which allowed me to complete two lesson plans effectively. The extended time helped me manage the lessons smoothly and maintain continuity in teaching.I observed active student participation and positive responses, which reflected their understanding of the concepts taught. This experience highlighted the importance of proper planning and time management in achieving lesson objectives. Overall, the session was meaningful and helped me reflect on my teaching practices, reinforcing the value of preparation and flexibility in the classroom.
