Teaching practice Phase 2 - week 5 (12/01/26 to 16/01/26)
✨Day 20 (12/01/26)✨
Today, my class was cancelled due to a quiz competition organized by the Kerala Government. Although the regular teaching schedule was interrupted, the event provided students with an opportunity to engage in academic competition beyond the classroom. It served as a reminder that learning also takes place through co-curricular activities, which play an important role in students’ overall development.
Overall, the day remained educationally meaningful. The event reinforced the idea that learning can occur in multiple forms and settings, and that both classroom instruction and co-curricular experiences together contribute to the all-round development of students.
✨Day 21 (13/01/26)✨
Today, I had two periods with the class, which gave me sufficient time to implement my teaching plans effectively. I was able to complete two lesson plans as scheduled, ensuring that the objectives of each lesson were achieved. The additional time helped in maintaining continuity, addressing students’ questions, and reinforcing key concepts. Overall, the session was productive and contributed positively to the learning process
✨Day 22 (14/01/26)✨
Today’s timetable included two consecutive periods, which allowed me to carry out my lessons smoothly and as planned. I successfully completed both lesson plans and ensured that the intended learning outcomes were met. The extended classroom time supported better flow in teaching, enabled clarification of student doubts, and strengthened understanding of the core ideas. Overall, the experience was effective and enhanced the teaching–learning process.
A mathematics class was organized by the government with the aim of supporting students who are academically backward in mathematics. The initiative focused on strengthening basic concepts and improving students’ confidence in the subject.
✨Day 23 (16/01/26)✨
Today, I had only one period with the class, during which I successfully completed my lesson plan. With this session, the lesson plans scheduled for Phase 2 have now been completed. The class was conducted as planned, and the objectives of the lesson were achieved effectively.
