As part of the B.Ed curriculum, I have prepared a digital textbook on the chapter "New Numbers" for Class 8. This digital textbook ings together real-life stories, relatable contexts, simple explanations, number line visuals, coloured-button models, interactive activities, and practice exercises to help students understand integers in an engaging way. It begins with a warm story-based introduction that connects negative numbers to everyday situations like temperature, debts, and game scores. Concepts such as ordering of integers, representing numbers on the number line, and the rules of addition with positive and negative integers are explained using easy language, step-by-step methods, and supportive models. Activities like the number-card game, the marks-scoring scenarios, and the button-model addition make abstract ideas meaningful. The textbook also includes scientific facts, interesting snippets such as the world’s coldest places, and creatively rewritten passages to make learning enjoyable. Additionally, a variety of exercises—representation on number lines, comparison, addition types, and word problems—ensure complete practice. Overall, the digital textbook integrates conceptual clarity, visual learning, and real-life applications, making the chapter both comprehensive and student-friendly. <> Digital textbook pdf <> Digital text Flipbook
